Which Dynojet do you mean? The PowerVision, being a flash tuner, will be better than any piggyback tuner. The PowerCommanders (also by Dynojet) are piggyback tuners.

 

Power Vison vs FP3 comes down to what you want to do.

If you just want to do stage one, then get the FP3. It will do stage 1 fine and give you a little flexibility with the autotune.

If you intend to do anything more than just stage 1, buy the Power Vision. It has much more capability for fine tuning, and will save datalogs, etc.

 

All I'm really looking to do is change the pipes and a stage 1 mod. And I was referring to the Power Vision tuner vs the fp3.

 

I was under the impression the fp3 was a flash tuner, no? I'm still new to all this.

 

It does appear to be a flash tuner, so would trump a PowerCommander IMO. I'm not familiar with it though (is it new?) so couldn't compare it to the PV.

 

They are both flash tuners. The pv is a unit that plugs in with a screen. The fp3 is a unit that plugs in with no screen, but has a bluetooth connection to a smart phone which it uses as the screen.
The fp3 is a cool gadget, the pv is an effective professional tuner.

 

quite frankly, opinions my vary, but the PV is for me so easy to use, so effective and leaving the bike clean with no extra gizmo attached to it, it's worth every penny and you can do all the mods you wanto from Stage 1 to whatever you are changing. very happy with it.
