Default Ness Mess on the front....

I ride a 2001 Independence/Freedom Express softail that has one of those high dollar billet aluminum Ness headlights. Does any body know of a bulb upgrade that actually works at night? On the back roads in the Sierra foothills my headlight will light up anything in front of me out to about a mile or better if it's got that reflective quality in it, stop signs, speed limit signs, etc. Within the first 50-75 feet directly in front of me is where this light falls flat on it's face. I've tried adjusting it a whole bunch of different directions and all I can get out of it is more people pissed off, 'cuz it's bright!!
I'd like to figure out a solution before I center punch a deer in the chest. Appreciate any ideas whatsoever !!! Boxcarrodent

Welcome to the forum. I have no clue on that light. I'd try contacting Ness directly. See below:

Pull the light out and see what number is on it, then see if you can cross reference it to a hid kit, that's what I did on my busa and it works way better then my $500 Harley led headlight.

Default contacted Ness...

I contacted A. Ness and he sent me a catalog. Not much help there. Thanks for your input. Researching other styles of headlight at the moment.

How about adding some lights to your crash bar or frame?
