Hello,

I have an HD riders backrest of my Road King, its about 4mo old.

I see now something happened and it is not springing back as it should. I pull the flap and see there is 1 spring there, but looks like there could have potentially been 2.

Question ... is there supposed to be 2 springs there? If so, 1 of them popped off and how do i get a new one?

If there is only 1 spring, then maybe i need to reposition this somehow. Something happened on a bump and it no long functions right.

Not sure what type of seat / back rest you have but on my Road King I swapped the stock seat for a Hammock. The rider back rest for mine has only one spring.

 

1 spring on backrest......go to hardware store and buy new spring to fit. HD does not carry the springs in parts (ask me how I know).

 

I just looked and took a closer look, i clearly had 2 springs and 1 is missing.

So now how the heck do i get a replacement spring? Think HD offers replacement parts by some chance?

Take the other spring to the hardware store and you should be able to get a close enough match.
