Rush Muffler Baffle ?

Rush Muffler Baffle ?
I did a search and couldn't find the answer I am looking for.
I recently switched from Vance & Hines straight shot slip ons with standard baffles to Rush 14205 slip ons with 2.25 inch baffles. The 2.25 baffles are louder than I was hoping and have a boomy/bass sound at idle and while accelerating at slow speeds. I am thinking about buying some 2.0 baffles from rush but not sure how much they will quiet down the exhaust. I'm afraid to go to the 1.75 baffles because I don't want to quiet it down too much. I've looked at videos on youtube but its hard to judge from the videos.
For those with experience with rush baffle sizes, what would be yalls recommendation for which baffle size to go with?
Thanks for any helpful input

I started out with 2.00" baffles but ended up stepping down to 1.75". I needed to hear my stereo but wanted some sound. They did the job....got a bit louder as the fiberglass packing burned out.

Tuff question. 'Sound' is so subjective, and opinions will vary greatly within the biker community. For me, I've run with the 1.75" baffs and no cat for 3 years now and find them to be 'just right.' They have a great bark when yanking the throttle and a nice solid rumble at cruising speeds, but still able to carry on a conversation with your bud when idling at the stop light. You might contact Rush and ask for their recommendation. Hope you find what best fits you.

Rush is basically a glass pack muffler like the cherry bombs we used to run on our old rides in high school. Straight though tube with a wrapped baffle for noise "dampening". I have both 2.0 and 1.750 inch baffles. Repacked both with that stuff they have at the muffler shop and ran for a while. Nice exhaust note. Not really that much difference to me. I liked them. But. Both too loud for a ol timer. Bought some SE fishtail mufflers off eBay. They work for me.

I started out with the 2.0 inch baffles and ended up dropping down to the 1.5 inch. These things get louder over time which is why I stayed away from the 1.75 inch. I like the sound of my bike.

How much would you want for 1.75 baffles? Might be good for experiment. Did you notice a big difference in sound going from the 1.75 baffles to the 2.0 baffles.
