I have a 2014 FXDB in denim black. Purchasing a "primer black" HD quarter fairing. I am wondering if I will need to paint it denim black to match or if the "primer black" is pretty damn close.

 

Can't answer the question because I don't have that specific fairing, but I wanted to say that you'll probably have much better luck with this question in the Dyna specific forum, especially in this thread:

The general forum, for the most part, doesn't embrace the style of bike that runs a quarter fairing so it's really hit or miss on info.
