Default belt tension and rear wheel alignment

OK guys so I put a badlander seat and rear pegs on my 14 street Bob. It seems like the rear wheel is straight and the belt tension is ok but how do I check these things? Either I'm blind or there isn't adjustment marks on the bolts/ swingarm. Just want to make sure I haven't overtightened or misaligned anything. Don't want anything to start breaking bc of such a dumb issue

I'm confused as how installing a seat can misalign your tire.
You're correct on no markings. 1/2" belt deflection, and you need a tool to check alignment, equal distance both sides from center of swingarm bolt to center of hub (axle) bolt.

It wasn't the seat that made him move the axle. The instructions say to loosen the belt when installing the new passenger pegs. I went through the same thing but luckily I thought to count how many turns I went out when loosening the belt and just reversed the process to get it right.

I'm confused as to why you need to loosen the belt when installing passenger pegs.

I would get the correct belt tension then use a measure tape or calipers to measure from wheel to swingarm for alignment check.

I ended up calling a dealer they told me a simple but effective way to check alignment. The alignment is pretty dead on and the belt tension feels identical to how it was before I loosened it. Its riding fine. The only thing I think I should do is check the torque on the Axel nut.

What is the simple but effective way, for future reference? Or is it just how the belt feels?

Maybe he had to shift the tire to get the wrench in there? I know i had a hard time fitting an allen wrench in there.

As far as alignment, my 06 Ultra has a cam on each side of the axle. If you keep each cam touching the stop on the swingarm as you are taking up the slack on the belt the wheel should be aligned.
