Default Should I feel guilty?

Riding home from work this afternoon at a stoplight with one right turn lane, one go straight, and two left turn lanes. I'm in lane 3 turning left--"lady" in SUV in go-straight lane decides she needs to occupy the space that I'm in. I lay on the brakes, horn, and start cussing her out with every swear word I know. Her windows are down and she hears me loud and clear.

I pull up next to her in the outside lane and yell at her again about trying to kill me--she screams something back about "my children are in the car!!" I then notice two young children (no child seats) poke their heads up over the bottom of the door in the back seat.

I kind of feel sorry her kids had to hear that, since I called her pretty much every name in the book, and some that I picked up overseas. Still, I wonder what she would have said to her kids if she had actually hit me.

No child seats, she deserved to be swore at just for that.

No, don't feel guilty. Too many parents think having a kid in the car entitles them to drive distracted. If the lady doesn't want her kids to hear curses, she should try paying attention.

Yeah, you should have been calmer, but your adrenaline is going, when you are stressed.

Don`t feel guilty. She pulled a bone-head maneuver and you needed to vent. Hopefully she`ll check her mirrors and blind spot next time.

She's just using her kids for a crutch and a shield. Drive like an idiot, get treated and talked to like one. And no car seat?! Really? No guilt, no shame.

Suzy Creamcheese needed to be straightened out. Probably was on her cell too. Kids needed to be buckled in the car seats.

I can say without a doubt I wouldn't feel guilty because I've been in a nearly identical situation. My wife was in her car and I was following on the bike. Some dumb@ss in a SUV came flying around almost hit me and then almost sideswiped my wife. Missed us both by less than a foot. She got stopped at the light ahead and I let her have it. I had to of called her every name in the book and about half way through my yelling spree I noticed her son(bout 4 yrs old) in the back seat and husband hanging his head on the passenger side. He either knew she was a dumb@ss or was too chickens#it to get out and do something. I'm not a huge guy so I'm betting on the first of those.

I wouldn't feel guilty. She should be arrested. She's the kind of parent that will find her child dead at the bottom of a pool or dead from heat exhaustion because she left them in the car with the windows rolled up. Sad, very very sad.
