Default All brake pads are not the same

Bought my Glide while working in Florida for about 4 months and the King sat at home while the Glide was with me. Rode the Road King to work and back today, almost 200 miles and can most assuredly attest to the fact that Harley pads are way inferior to Lyndall pads. I have the Z Plus on the King and the difference is phenomenal. Those suckers grab and hold the steel rotor so much better than HD pads. I don't know how much better the Lyndall Gold pads can be and don't need to as they are quite a bit more expensive. I will never again buy any other pad than the Lyndall.

You do not want Gold, they need some heat to start working, as you get when you race.

What Von Zipper said, lots of friends on sport bikes bitched about how lousy the Carbone Lorraine or Ferrodo pads performed for that very reason, they didn't brake hard enough with enough frequency for the pads to heat up. Alternately I know more than person that went to do a track day using stock street pads that had the dreaded brake fade because they're brakes overheated and boiled the fluid in the calipers.

I just replaced the stock pads with the Z-plus pads on my Dyna a couple weeks ago, and I gotta agree with you, the stopping power is a whole lot better. And being dust free is great for the spoked wheels..

I've been using the Lyndall Z+ pads for years and have to agree.......one of the best brake pads on the market today!
