Default Seat question

Picked up an 01 Electra today and not sure what the seat is but my butt hurts after about 150 miles...starting getting sore after 40 miles. I have a wide glide same year with a Mustang vintage solo seat and a 2 up Sundowner....done multiple hundreds of mile trips....can I expect same performance out of both seats on Electra Glide?

I appreciate any help. Thanks

Have a Mustang wide touring solo on my Road King and Road Glide. Love them!!! King is an 01 and Glide is an 05.

If you get a Mustang I do NOT recommend getting one with studs.

Look in the Touring For Sale Forum under my name. I have a nice 2 piece Mustang seat for sale in there.

I rode almost 500 miles today. My butt hurt all day long. Both my electra glides seats hurt. I'm going to try some bicycle shorts next

Has there been an issue with the studs on the Mustang Seat?

Every seat I have tried has hurt my boney *** after a few hundred miles. I am a big fan of the Airhawk seat pads...all day comfort on any seat.

I've had a Mustang solo with studs on my 2010 RK for 4 yrs now and love it on long rides, but I do recommend the backrest.

No issues at all with the studs, so I curious too about the "no studs" comment.

I have had several studs come off of the seat. That is why when I bought a Mustang for the Glide it was without studs. And Mustang wants 2/3rd the price a new seat to replace padding and cover. Screw em'.... I also agree about the backrest and have them on both bikes. Can't imagine a long ride without.
