License Plate Reflector Removal
Hey guys
I pulled the trigger and bought a 2014 FLHXS. Love the bike but the license plate reflector has to go. Does anyone know how to take it off without removing the tail lights to get at the screws. That seems like an awful lot of trouble to take off the dumb reflector.
Thanks in advance

What kind of gun did you use when you got your bike?
And what's wrong with a reflector? Are you worried someone might see you at night?

I next to never ride at night. If they can't see the tail lights I doubt a reflector is going to make much of a difference. I just want a cleaner look.
Oh and I used a 23k-06. Took me a little to not be worried about the kick.

The reflector is there in case your tail lights go out. Required on all vehicle in most states. You would be wise to check your state for the law on that before you take it off.

So now that you got the "the law says this" speech, lets get down to his actual question.
Looks to me from the pics that you would need to take the taillight assembly off to get to those screws

Useful if riding in a heavy downpour - it's not a bad thing to be seen, right? I kept it on my Springer which has pretty crappy lighting, and took it off the Heritage.
