Heads up on synthetic oil
Stopped at Orielly's auto parts today to see if they carry Amsoil 20 W 50 motorcycle oil, all I have used for years. They only carry Lucas so I bought it at $9.95 a quart. They said Autozone sold Amsoil. I asked isn't that the place that fired an employee for stopping a robbery with his gun because it was against company policy have a gun at work. Guy said yes and I said I do not do business with such places. I was at an Ace hardware down in Florida that carried Amsoil for the same price but there is no Ace around me. An Indy I go to uses Lucas and know it is good stuff and it will be going in my Road Glide.

I sell guns and am the boss so I can't be fired. I don't get too hung up on brand loyalty on stuff like lubricants so long as it's a name brand and a full syn (Lucas, Mobil 1, Amsoil, Royal Purple, Castrol etc).

The point was good synthetic motorcycle can be had at a reasonable price at places you might not expect to find.
