High Mileage Motorcycle Tires for Touring
I ride an 07 Ultra Classic. Can anyone advise what tires are getting the highest mileage? I'm still using dunlops and only get 6-7000 on the rear. Two rears to every front.

I got 24,000 out of the Michelin Commander IIs on my 2011 Road King. And I don't ride easy and laid back. They still had a couple thousand left in them when I traded the bike off for my 2014 Road King.

The newer bikes ('09 & up) get much better tire mileage than the older, narrower rear tires. My friend has a '10 Ultra and he's just got almost 25,000 miles on his original rear tire.
I usually got over 10,000+ miles out of the rear tires on my '00 Ultra, even when pulling a trailer behind me.
Heavy throttle and releasing the clutch when downshifting, and improper tire pressure can contribute to excessive tire wear.

The OPs mileage is for tires is miserable.
A friend was tracking 20k for his E3s on his hard ridden RK.
Careful, the car tire guys will have one less argument with 30k tires.
I either ride hard or 2-up & loaded and will have 10k on the original tires.

No argument from us car tire users we have heard it all. Compare prices is another argument that always gets used. There is never a lack of blowhards in a public forum, politics is everywhere.

Depending on riding style, roads and load, you will get different mileage....remember some saying they get 20 k plus are also riding 09 and up bikes and the tires are a bit different,, I would try the Elite III or the new American Elite in either mu90 b16 or mu85b16 .then the new Michelin commander II...I got way better from the Elite than the Commander , actually got better on the D402 and original Commander thane the CII....you will have to try it for yourself. By the way, buddy of mine actually got 19000 miles on a Elite III on a 07 Ultra. I will add he is very easy on throttle and brakes comparedv to me and about half my weight.
