nelson rigg rain suit
#2
I dont have the AS3000, I have the Nelson Rigg Stormrider, the AS3000's cheaper cousin.
As far as a rain suit goes, its 100% for me. Relatively easy to get on and off, and kept me dry through an absolute downpour on a ride in South Carolina last summer. I need to get some compression straps to keep it a bit smaller in the saddle bag though.

Cant help you with that, but just want to throw this out there.....My first HD rain gear was useless, so they exchanged it for me, but haven't used the new one yet. I would definitely consider the Nelson Rigg Stormrider, especially for the price alone.

Nelson rigg is definitely a good choice. It's the most affordable of the bunch, but honestly how many people have actually had the chance to test their rain gear?
Thats when it counts the most.. I got a decent set from motorcycle house but i'll admit that I haven't actually tried it in the rain yet.

I actually have the exact suit you are asking about. I just got to use it for the first time on a 3,000 mile trip. I have no complaints with the jacket but did have a couple issues with the paints. The suspenders would not stay tight after I adjusted them and I got a little wet in the crotch. I called Nelson Rigg and they said email us a picture of your receipt and we will send you another pair of pants asap. I did as they requested and almost immediately received a tracking number. I should get the new pair next week and will hope for better luck. I like the fact they have a 2 yr warranty where the Harley suit only has 90 days.

I don't know the model number of mine, but it's heavy duty...a little too heavy/warm actually, being most sudden rain storms are in the summer, vs the spring rains that last for three days and the bike stays in the garage.
One thing I noticed right away...the zipper is in backwards. The tang is on the left side, instead of the right.

I bought my N-R suit in 2008 and I've used it on many road trips since -- no complaints with fit/quality/performance (and I've rode thru some serious downpours). Think I paid about $70 for it then.
