Default Best way to protect White Paint from yellowing?

I've heard that white paint will yellow. I don't know anyone that has had this happen to them, but I'm concerned if it is true.

1) Is this true or an urban legend?
2) Best way/best products to protect? What do you use? I'm guessing a good wax w/ UV protectant.

Thanks for any info!

With the modern "Clear Coat" systems they use today, this isn't a problem like it used to be.

Red used to be real bad about fading, but that stopped once they started using clear coat.

Ever notice back in the day when you would use a good cleaner wax, how the pad would turn the same color as your paint job?
Those paints didn't have a clear coat.

Never had a White Harley, but I had a White 2000 Silverado.
After 14 years it was totaled in a rear end collision. But the paint was still just as White as it was when it was new.

Had a White 95 F-250 for a fairly long time like 10 years, never garaged, rarely washed, never waxed, it stayed as white as new till I sold it. Urban legend. I have a 2008 White FLHX , waxed it once, wash it like once a year, but it's is garaged and it is still as new color wise.

Sometimes in a certain light l think l can see patches that look as if they are yellowing then in a different light it looks as white as ever! As mentioned the clear coat should stop the paint yellowing.

It used to happen with earlier paint chemistry. Modern paint does not go yellow.
