Default Vance & Hines Pro Pipe - 2005 FLHT

My pro pipe had been getting loose for a while so I took it off yesterday. When I pulled it off, pieces of the slip-on neck fell to concrete. No wonder it wouldn't tighten....it was falling apart. There's no sign of corrosion....just apparently degradation from heat. I will add that metal is a lot thinner than I remembered. As a result of heat cycles and tightening maybe. I'll cut to the chase........Vance & Hines no longer makes the muffler and worse yet, not one compatible with my header. A muffler shop can maybe fabricate a piece to work......but I'm just surprised there's no slip-on available and that I will have to buy the whole set. Thoughts?

Default re: pro pipe muffler (06 and older)

There is a Pro Pipe muffler for sale on ebay for your year FLH
It appears to be new old stock.
