Default How to darken distressed brown saddlebags

Just got a pair of used Harley Davidson distressed brown saddlebags and I want to darken them up some. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Well, you could waterproof them with Sno Seal. That will effectively darken them, and protect them.

Bee oil, beeswax, sno seal, etc. I like Obenauf's LP.

maybe even find a leather repair place and have them dye the bags

If they're leather, Leather Honey will condition them and darken them.

Do a test spot first on the back or bottom preferably to make sure you'll get the results you want.

I used this brand on all my leather... I use black, make sure it's Professional OIL dye for staying power..

I second Fiebing's Oil Dye, but don't think you would need a full 32oz just to darken saddlebags.

The smaller 4oz is a lot cheaper and since you probably only need to do one coat should do it, maybe two of the 4oz bottles. Get some cheap wool applicators to put it on with.
