Hey--just curious bout the experiences of those who have saddlemen bags. Just ordered set through J&P for my softail custom and would like feedback before I install. Thanks!!

I have one for my tour pack rack on my Ultra... we actually ended up ripping out one of the rivets on the back of the bag. That being said, we probably had it overloaded as well.. overall I think the quality is pretty good though.

I've had mine for several years and it is holding up well. I haven't gotten it wet yet; I usually put it inside a trash bag to keep it dry.

Saddleman makes great products. If you have any issues, they will make it right.
The owner rides and is a good person to know.

I've had a couple of their bags. One was a sissy bar bag, the other a rack bag. I was very happy with the quality and features.

Same with me. Have had Saddlemen saddlebags and a Saddlemen sissy bar bag, and have nothing but good things to say about them.

Durable, but a bitch to mount on my wife's 2000 883. Not sure if she didn't buy a mounting kit, or if they were a "one size fits some application". After a few stratagically placed holes and some black tie wraps, they look like they belong. No complaints

This is the best mounting system I've seen for those types of aftermarket brands - Edge Brackets. Secure (more so than the bags on my RK), easily removable (more so than the bags on my RK), and easy to install. Give them a look - you might find yourself wanting to get a set! I've used them before on other bikes, and never looked back.

Just got the BR 4100 bag and used it on a 3000 mile trip for the first time........thoughts...It really rubbed against my rear speaker grills, enough to make permanent marks and really worn, was planning on replacing them anyway but a heads up on that! NICE size, fit everything I needed and planned to buy. Very easy to install with the many mounting point on the bags. Not as water resistant as I expected. Worked well as a backrest on my EGUC as designed.
Overall....LOVED IT!! ( But will have to figure out out something about the bag rubbing against the rear speakers on next trip)

I've found them to be reliable, road worthy bags. Easy to hook up and unhook. I can't remember the model number we're using. Its a pretty good size bag. We've used them for 2 years now and usually put around 5k on them per season. Good quality bag. The one we have has a built in rain cover and it does keep the bag completely dry even in a heavy down pour.
