Default questions about 2007 night train

My local indy dealer has a 2007 night train with 25,000 miles on it for 14,500. He says it has a stage 4 screamin eagle kit and manual compression release heads. I hope that some of you can explain what that means. The price seems high to me as well. The bike is in great shape, but again, price seems high. Thanks for the help.

Ride safe and have fun

Waaay to high.
WOW
Its worth 12k if its immaculate. I paid 12500 for mine 3 years ago and it was a 2006 with 10k on it. stock 88 motor.

It means that the original 96" motor has been modified and and probably a 103" + motor with high compression pistons, adjustable push rods, cams, and tuner.

Have them give you ALLL the documentation proving this work has been done. Other wise they are just words. If you buy that for 14500, ill personally slap the skin off your face.
Not to mention you said indy dealer, which automatically means cheaper than what HD would sell it for.

Lol. Thank you for the advice and explanation of the modifications. KBB lists bike value at 12,500. I talked to dealer and they said they had all the paperwork and had done all the upgrades themselves. I going to go saturday, and take a look in person and test ride. What is good starting offer, 12,000?
Trains seem to be selling for much higher than their lited value. Wonder why.
Thank you again

I paid $14500 for my 09 last May. It was built to Stage 2 with 1584 miles on it. That dealer is screwing you without the actual penetration.

Trains have a "little" premium on them because they dont make it anymore, but it isnt like they are a rare find on the used market. Do a search of your local Craigslist or eBay.....you will find one for a much better price.....not to mention the 07 was the 'weird" year for Softails. (different axle sizing and whatnot)
