Default Buy now or wait for 2015 models

I can trade my 2005 Deluxe and 2009 883XLC Sporty + $12K (AUS) for a new Road King.

I'm not overly sold on the 2014 colour range and am tossing up whether to wait until the 2015 range comes out in September.

Problem is the dealer won't honour the same deal and I will get $1-$2K less than what he's offering me now.

Should I wait for the 2015's or pull the trigger on a 2014?

I'm already buying one now. It's the last bike I'll own.

And I never take a gun to a dealership...neither should you.

If you like 15's colors better, then wait. Might as well have it perfect, with the money they cost. So what if you loose on trade in value.....but it's your money and your choice

Unless your buying a Vivid Black, I'd have to see the colors in person before I bought one. Some look good on the net but when you actually see one it can be a let down.

May I ask out of curiosity what they are giving you for trade in on your two bikes? Seems like you should be getting more.. Or I am over valuing your bikes.

The bikes are in excellent condition, heaps of extras however the Deluxe has got high miles.

2005 Deluxe - Cobalt Blue 114,000km = $14,000 ($13,176 US)
2009 Sportster XLC - White - 22,000km = $8,000 ($7,529 US)

The 2014 Birch white/ Midnight Pearl Road King Classic = $32,495 (on road)

That's what I was thinking. You could ride now without the wait, and take the money from the better deal on the '14 and put it towards a custom paint job. Of course there would be the wait while the bike is getting painted.
