Default Whining noise

I hear a whining noise when I coast in first and second gear with clutch lever pulled in. Sometimes I think I can also hear it when the clutch isn't pulled in.
Any ideas would be appreciated or is it normal.

You don't state what year or model bike you have. If you have a late model HD with a 6spd. The whining noise in first gear is normal. This is because the first gear in the transmission is cut with a different tooth angle than the others. As far as a whine in second gear, I don't know. If you have a whine in other gears it may be bearing noise.

I hear my bike doing that in first but it's not loud and I've heard most all vehicles doing it. Until it's starts running crappy or gets louder, I'm not worried about it.mm

Can you isolate the noise a bit better? Left Right Forward Back Belt Wheel etc??

One guess is the inner primary bearing....

I would look at your wheel bearings first they are the easiest to eliminate. I had the same issue a few weeks ago and found one of my new bearings from last year had a tick in it. replaced it and all is good now.
