Default New to HD. Looking at street glides... What do I buy?

Hi all!

New here, but want to start off about asking a few questions about a bike I am looking at. So I am pretty dead set on wanting a street glide. Went and test rode an 08 with 59k miles at my local dealer yesterday and loved it. The price seems right on the bike, BUT, the miles scare me. The bike is super clean and rode really well. Seems like it was well maintained. Only issue was a little wobble when on the front brakes which I mentioned to the dealer. Other than that it seemed great. No oil leaks, no oil residue in the exhaust etc... Should I stay away from a bike with this many miles? If I do get this bike and decide to flip it in a year or two with say 70-75k miles will the resale value be gone? Any insight would be nice! Thanks in advance. - Josh

Keep looking. No knock on your dealer, but there are better deals out there.

Sounds high.

In my area, at that price, I'm finding them with 20k to 30k miles. Most already have nice pipes and other accessories.

I bought a 2008 SG two years ago, 9k miles on it and I paid 15k for it. I've put alittle less than 20k miles on it without a problem.

They changed the frame in 2009 and '09 and up are supposed to handle better. The 2008 is a little narrower in the seat and that fit me better so I went looking specifically for '08 or older. But if you are not inseam challenged an '09 or newer should handle better.

Ya now with 59k miles on it I'm thinking who ever owned it took good care of it, it was owned by a rider and sure was no garage queen. But for your money you could a bike with less miles or an 09 or newer with better handling.

Mine don't handle bad. They talk about a "wobble", I've never experienced it, but it does sort of "wallow" in the corners.

Price is way high, miles are high..

You can get a better price on one with way lower miles. I dont like this deal at all

Here's a few you might compare to. The dealerships are in TX, but they ship around the country and have great deals. One of my best friends bought a bike from them, and they are really easy to deal with.
