Default Wheels Through Time - Evel Bike

Made a trip to WTT yesterday. This bike brought back memories. Loved watching those jumps back then.

Amazing the jumps he made when you consider the weight and the suspension of that XR750. Can you say "*****"!

***** is right! His kid does jumps now... on a 300 pound honda dirtbike with like 16 inches of travel. Still takes some ***** but I always think, yeah, try that $hit on an iron sportster with essentially NO travel. "ol evel would have crashed alot less if he had some suspension......

Heheheh, my brothers & I crashed a lot of dirt bikes & broke a few bones trying to emulate him & those jumps. Good times.

WTT looks like an awesome place. We have a similar place in PA called Bill's Old Bike Barn, but I don't think it's nearly as big as WTT. What's In The Barn is one of the few "reality" bike shows that I can actually enjoy.

We have been talking about making another trip up there. Great place to see vintage bikes and their history.

Bills is an awesome place. The man traveled the world to build his collection. The story goes, he and the motor company had a difference of opinion and they parted ways. From there, what you see today is the result. If you ever get a chance to go into the warehouse/sales shop storage area, take it.
Another place to get lost in time is Nick's Custom Cycles in Williamsport, NJ. http://www.nickscustomcycles.com/

My wife and her Dad were at the infamous fountain jump at Ceasar's. They have some photos but they are just crowd shots and no action shots.
