I am not a trike guy...well maybe not yet but I must say that's pretty close to how I would build it. I would make that whole trunk removable and just add a cargo area that is transformable from a simple rack to expose the rear axle and suspension (got to make it look good of course) or you could mount the trunk compartment and detachable clear windshield for longer rides.

 

I like it! From the initial impression it should come in substantially less than the $35k they want for the Ultra.
