Default Problem installing saddle bag supports

I have an 09 FXDB and bought a set of saddlebag supports that look to mount to the rear shock stud and mid fender bolt. Problem I'm having is that the stock studs are not long enough to fit both the shock and support. I have the correct bolts and spacer for the mid fender but the larger bolts that came with the supports aren't even close to what I need. I cant seen to locate the correct stud anywhere to make this work.

These are the supports and hardware i bought and a photo of the closest thing I can find to the stud I need. Mine are very similar with the nut in the center that mounts into the frame. Thing is mine have a larger cone molded to stud on the outboard side of the nut that shock buts up against with a chrome cap nut that holds it all together. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Take what you've got & what you know to a GOOD hardware store, & ask for help finding stainless steel fasteners.

That stud looks to be for a softail, not a dyna...

Have you got a part number for the bag supports? Most times, you can look the part number up and find the installation directions in .pdf format. The installation directions should tell what other parts may be needed.

Just sifted through about a thousand photos online, of dyna and softail saddle bag supports, and although not exact the closest to yours I found were for a vrod.

Also, no matter what model, most of the supports didn't attach to the shock mounting bolt. A few did, but not the majority. Have you tried matching them to the fender support holes other than where the shock mounts?
