Next thing you know....Some ******* in the government will want to make them mandatory.
If they can't see the BAL tail light, they won't see that.
If they can't see the BAL tail light, they won't see that.

"these extra brake lights are especially visible in close traffic when taillights are harder to see"
Maybe if people would stay a safe distance from the vehicle in front of them, they could see the lights. Also turn off the damn cell phone!
Duplicate post. Ooops!

if people would put the damn cell phones down and pay attention to what's going on around them maybe they wouldn't be running over us.

I would rather have a BAL, than a helmet light.

Automobile drivers involved in crashes with motorcycles often say they simply didn’t see a motorcycle before colliding with it. Anything that helps make a rider more noticeable can’t be a bad thing.
I don't see the sense in these helmet lights. I'm convinced that you could be lit up like a Christmas tree and people are either going to see you or not. Defensive riding is your best protection.

Not for me but I could see it being very popular as it's a good idea for the more safety conscious rider.

It's an okay gimmick but if drivers can't see the taillights on a bike, they won't see them on a helmet.
