i'm going and 1 or more of my Bro's as well....

trying to get something started here...

i want to rent a u-haul enclosed truck as a support vehicle..that way if one breaks down, we can put er in the back and keep rolling as well as it carrying all our camping gear and we can sleep in the back of it when we get there

anyone here in favor of this and would like to do this???

ps.. we might just have to install a pole in er for some of the lady's to show there dancing skills ..wink wink..

Do you really want to hook up with complete strangers that could make your whole trip a miserable experience?? I'd think things could get ugly when strangers throw money into a trip together and have different ideas of how it should go.

 

Yup……what I said goes both ways. There was a post on here once where someone was trying to coordinate where fellow riders could sleep in each other's homes while traveling….yikes!

 

Yeah they make horror stories with a similar plot all the time....

 

What about hygiene when you get here?

 

I'm so pumped.... first time out there... 1200 miles... this will be a good test to see if i did my cams and bearing install correctly..

my best bud is coming from Washington state. he has the camp ground on hold for us. i'm riding with some of my buds from here..

i can't wait.....going through my 03 springer from top to bottom...

i was installing her new throttle cables today and noticed the pump plunger was not hooked up.. upon further inspection i found that the washer and E-clip missing from the shaft that holds the plastic cam in place. the cam walked far enough away from it's normal position to let the pump plunger rod fall out of the cam...

also found wiring at the tree getting damaged on full lock to the left...

glad i caught that...

so i'm going over her with a fine tooth comb.
