Why a Harley?
#4
So cliche, but, if you have to ask..............you wouldn't understand. If I have to answer, I'll say this.........They have a soul. They have a certain mojo about them.

I've owned/ridden most everything else. Since Harley discovered rubber mounting, I decided to give it a try before my riding days are over.

Just so I can say, I have one of each model. So far, I have a RG and a Fatboy. Geez, I got a long way to go!

Simple, it's the only bike I've ever wanted. My neighbor had one when I was growing up and from the age of 7 I was going to have a bike, and it was going to be a Harley.

Because I always wanted one....plus the answers above. I feel as there is nothing like a Harley, the looks, the feel, the sound. And for the people that say they leak oil. I say this...it's marking its territory! Now that's a bike with a soul!

Because when I saw my first Harley I told my mother that one day I would have one. That was long before I knew anything about the history, legacy ect ect. Was instant fascination. Amazing how as a child you can instantly know what you like even before you know what it is. Against my mothers wishes I kept my word

It's simplicity, and it's reliability, for being so simple. Of course you won't find much of that on a Twin Cam... same basic principal but a little harder to do roadside repairs.
Have no illusion about it... there are better made, more reliable motorcycles out there and anyone who tries to refute that is full of ****, but at the end of the day, it says HARLEY DAVIDSON on the tank and that is all that matters. Plus there aint a Vulcan, or Star, or even a twin cam, that sounds like my old cammed evo...
