Drag Specialty oil filter pressure higher at idle, than with HD
I usually use an HD oil filter, with Mobil One V Twin 20-50. My local Indy sold me a Drag Specialty filter, made in Taiwan.
At speed, the pressure runs about 38, similar to HD. But at idle, it doesn't drop much like with the HD. Is that a problem at all?

Find out what micron the oil filter is. Nothing wrong with good oil pressure but here is the deal. Evolution motors used a 30 micron oil filter because they were on the return side and needed big enough holes for the oil to flow through. The Twin Cams are using a 10 micron filter because they are on the pump or pressuer side and the oil is being forced through and therefore you can use a smaller holed filter. The smaller holes filter better but you would not want to use this filter on an Evo because the oil would have a hard time getting through the filter because of the smaller holes. What may be happening in your case is you have a 30 micron or EVO filter which is forcing oil through the big holes and gaining you extra oil pressure but you are not getting the filtration you could be getting with a TC 10 micron filter. My theory.
