is anyone from VA riding out to Sturgis?
I'm looking for people to ride out with. I'M flexible on the depart an return.

 

I am going, but from Arizona so not much help... Have a great trip and to be honest solo is a GREAT adventure.

 

I am going from FL with another person. We are leaving 8/2

 

I'm not going as I have to work, but I live just 12 miles away from you if you ever want to ride.

 

My advice would be to set expectations when riding with strangers. How often to stop; how far can you go on a tank of gas; how many miles a day, etc. I rode to Myrtle Beach with some guys I didn't know and it's the last time I'll ever do that. Despite agreeing on gas stops no more than 175 miles, I had to wave them down to stop for gas a couple of times.

In general they were just *** holes, although I'm sure they thought the same thing about me.

 

You will ride with many as you get closer. Go solo and enjoy the road.

 

all good advice! I knew when I made this post I was asking a lot, meaning it's hard to find people to ride with that have similar riding styles, likes and dislikes. how far they can ride or where to stay, and so forth. I usually ride long distance rides by myself.
