Default Xieds

I have a 2010 Heritage and the only thing ive done performance wise is add Rush slipons with 1.75" baffles.
Ive been looking at the Xieds to richen the mixture up a little to cool it down and add a little extra pep.
Only thing is when I look at the Xieds they have some you can adjust and some you cant, also they have one listed as Vied.
Im not sure which I need and am looking for some opinions, a turner and dyno tune is not in the budget at this time due to me having rotator surgery last year and my wife about to have the same surgery now!
I am thinking this will get me by just fine until I start adding high flow air cleaner and some different cams, but that wont be any time soon.
Thanks in advance.

The vied is the adjustable version, you adjust it with a very small screwdriver. I had a set on my Deluxe and they work as advertised. The bike seemed to run cooler and they eliminated part of the decel pop. A minor inconvenience on a softie is that one goes under your seat and the other up front under the voltage regulator. If you get the veid and want to tweak the setting, you have to take off the seat and the voltage regulator cover.

Why not use the "contact us" section of their website and ask the man who created them these questions? You'll get as many different opinions on a forum as versions they have.

All you should need are the standard Xieds, I believe it's part number 100 on the Nightrider website. Should be the same for all Softails 07 and later. They perform as advertised, and I currently run them on my '14 RK.

I ran the vied's for several years and they worked just fine. They do allow you to tweak the AFR setting. As MMCBeat said the one inconvenience is the rear one O2 sensor, but on my heritage the connection is under the oil tank which IMO is harder to deal with.

Heres one reason why I have asked here, the wife and I just got back from riding and until night before last I have been running a set of CVO mufflers with a hole punched in the plate inside the baffle, because, when I ran the rush mufflers before, and I have to stop, if I put my right **** down and my pants leg gets against the muffler it burns a hole in the pants leg.
So this morning I picked a pair of jeans that already had a hole in them and sure enough, the muffler started cooking my pants leg.
The CVO mufflers have heat shields and didn't do this, so do you think this will cool things down enough that I don't have this problem anymore?
Also I have the decel pop and know that sometimes that a leak in the connections will cause that but I purchased new clamps and I have no leaks, actually it sounds pretty good but I know to much is not a good thing.
And I don't mind asking the dealer questions but think that real world first hand experience is better.
Thanks

nightrider.com

They will tell you precisely what you need, and guide you to the proper version

The adjustables cost a little more, and are not needed on some set ups, but they will set you straight.

Forum guys will just tell you what worked/did not work for their specific setup.

Go to the source.

Used ones are also available on the classifieds. Might be able to pick up the correct ones there also .

On my 103 with no cats and HF air filter they made more difference than I would expect. Bike no longer goes into hot engine mode.

I tried Xieds with stage 1 and they seemed to work fine on my 08 FLSTC. They are fixed, not variable. I got paranoid after 1000 miles as the engine just seemed to run too lean, for me anyway. But I did notice a power and pickup increase and it sounded better. I was thinking of putting them on eBay if you're interested. I bought them from Nightrider.com on January 2013, Part# 100. They were on the bike approximately 1000 miles.
