As new as his bike is, I'm betting that it's the original battery.
If it's the original battery, it's made by Deka and they don't get any better than that.

It's the stocker in my 2013 bike.

I tender the bike and the car every day and night whether I use them or not. The CRV and RAV 4 don't get tendered.

It won't hurt the battery to tender it constantly, tenmidgets?

I was thinking of tendering it a few times a week overnight, at most. (Automatic shut off on tender.)

I got a solar one from Northern Tool for $15.
Works great, at 830mA its just a small boost, but enough to keep the battery full.
And in the winter its just perfect.

My God man!! that battery is done!! 5 years max on a battery, any longer than that is by the Grace of God!! put a battery in there!!

It's the stocker, 2002. __________________

The battery isn't from 2002, harleycharlie. That's simply the handle of the guy who asked the question.

The bike is a 2013 and it's the stock battery. (edited other post accordingly.)

It wont hurt it at all.

I have all of my bikes hooked up to their own trickle chargers 24-7, all the batteries are going on 4 years old.

I use the same trickle charger in the link.
