Default Akoury sizing

Guys,
I just got the Akoury AK-1 helmet in Large and not sure if I should stay with that size or move up to XL.
My head is 59.5", and their sizing chart calls for Large for up to 60", so I'm right up there. When I put it on, it fits rather tight. I mean it's not squeezing my head, but I definitely feel it a little bit.
Will it get "broken in" a little bit?

What do you guys think?

Alex

I'm at the largest end of M. Got mine in M, and I'm keeping it. It's a little tight also, but nothing big. I think L might move around on me too much. I'm guessing it'll "break in" a little. My Harley helmet did, that I've had for a few years.

I'd rather have a helmet that was slightly snug than slightly loose. All helmets I've had, had a break-in and loosened up a bit.

At 59 1/2 inches I would say you've got one big head...................Typo?

At 61.5 cm my XL fits well. Out of the box was a good fit, a bit snug but good. After a few months it loosened just a small amount and now feels perfect and after having it for almost a year, it couldn't be better. Mine is the Ak-88 but the Ak-1 I assume is the exact fitment. You have to do what feels right to you but mine did loosen a hair with some time. Since you're 2 cm less than me, I think the XL would be too loose over time.

I usually just tell my gf my head size in cm. But I used their chart and ordered a large and it was a perfect fit
