Default water in my headlight

I rode about 12 hours in the rain Thursday. At some point water got in the head light on my 06 Electra glide. Has anybody had this problem or have an idea how it got in there. Its a good thing I have aux lights. The water caused the bulb to blow.

Ive seen it twice. One Brother's headlight was half full and continued to shine normally during a long trip, its pretty odd.

I can't speak on the 06s, but if you have changed the bulb and don't put the rubber thingy (on the back seals the bulb) on the right way, your headlamp will fill up on an 11 Ultra. Don't ask me how I found out.

Maybe check the back and make sure all is properly together.

I'll have to check that today when I pour the water out and replace the blub. This is the second time in 6 weeks its happened. I sprayed it pretty heavy with the water hose and no water go in.

I have never had any water in the headlight of either of my HD's.
Of course they are the 5, and 7 inch sealed beam.
Maybe I should up-grade to a new , and improved one like on later models (not).

I would look at the front seal around the "beauty ring " If I were you.
sounds like it only leaks when moving in the rain.
