S.W.A.T. boots

These days, I'm just happy to see people not wearing flip flops. ;0)
I think those SWAT boots will do well on the comfort front, but from personal experience I'd say your best served by boots designed for riding. Generally, that means full leather, with toe box, heel box, and ankle bone protection. As well as a grippy sole.
And yes, you can find some just as comfortable as the SWAT boots, or even moreso on the bike.
I know all that seems like over kill, but it's really not. Revzilla has a lot of good options, complete with customer reviews. Scroll through and you'll see plenty that don't look like racing boots:

They look like what I have. And the toe is semi soft and now I have "shifter toe indentation". Other than that, I really like them.

Two pair of riding boots ago were SWAT boots .. good boot for riding for the first two seasons I had them, but once the I wore the soles down a little they got uncomfortable quick for walking around in. Boots I have now are basically the same boot but from (for shame....) Wally World .. just as good and half the price.
I agree with the comment regarding boots made for motorcycling, however not always as easy as it sounds. Different style boots for different types of riding .. I have a pair of motorcycle boots (SIDI) that are great when riding a sport tourer (had a FZ1 and then an FJR) or sport bike, but terribly uncomfortable when riding a feet forward bike like most HDs or metric cruisers. If you've only got one bike and you want boots made specifically for motorcycling, plenty of good options out there.
Basically I want ankle protection, a non-slip sole, waterproof (or at least water resistent), and most importantly comfortable to walk around in when off the bike. AND I'd like to get minimum two seasons out of them. If the top leather is good as well as the insole getting a good pair of boots resoled is always an option.

Had couple pairs over last 2 years. Won't wear like 100% leather but are much less expensive and very comfortable. They breathe. Really like them for riding. Wear them for work too.

I've got the lower quality Redwing "Worx" brand in a 9" style like this. Been very happy with them and particularly like the side zipper for easy on and off. Didn't even mind the stitching breaking near the ankle joint because in store Redwing repair and customer service is excellent. Had them fixed plus a buff and shine of the leather in 20 minutes. Paid around $100 I think.

I use to have a pair of boots that was similar to those and I found them very comfortable for riding.
