Default Richmond Virginia

I am going to be in Richmond this Sunday for approximately 8 months. What are good and Harley friendly establishments and things to do?

Ride. Virginia is a beauty of a state to ride in. Shenandoah valley area is great. Mountains everywhere.

Capitol Ale House in Richmond is excellent. Terrific beer selection and great good. Route 1 in any part is greatly preferred over I-95.

Which direction are you coming from/going?

Ride up to Fredericksburg. Eat at Allman's BBQ then get yourself some Carl's ice cream right down the street.

WELL worth the trip.

I live in Shenandoah County (Bryce Resort), we get a fair bit of traffic for those that want to ride the backroads (and there are plenty of them). Amazing riding throughout, Lurray, Harrisonburg through Winchester into WV, etc.

One thing for FYI.....VA State Patrol loves to hide in the median cross overs and such. They write a lot of tickets. Last one I got was on 95 North heading towards Richmond. The Trooper was hiding under the Chippingham Pkwy overpass. Greyhound Bus passed me like I was sitting still. He gave me the ticket. Go figure. VA is a real pretty state....gas pretty cheap too compared to NC.

Close enough to do a daytrip on a section of the blue ridge parkway. VA is a very ticket happy state, be careful with your speed.
