Default Busted Knuckle - Walnut Cove

I took my Sportster to Busted Knuckle here in my hometown of Walnut Cove. It is a complete machine shop and they will do anything for your Harley from service, tires, performance, dyno tuning, wreck repair/insurance jobs, etc. I asked Jesse, the owner, to go over the entire bike since it hadn't been ridden in over a year prior to my purchase. He put the new tires on (Michelin Commander II), changed the oil and transmission fluid, replaced the brake switch and checked the bike top to bottom for any issues. He also offered to drive the "new" off my tires for me since I was a new rider. I was very pleased with not only the service I received, but the reasonable price ($550.00) for everything. Busted Knuckle already had an excellent reputation in the area anyway and I've known about them for years. They lived up to their reputation and then some. If you have need of an excellent mechanic in this area, consider Jesse at Busted Knuckle. Thanks for reading, I just wanted to give him a shout out.

I thought you were doing your own "wrenching" now days? You'll love your new Commander II, and it does take several miles to get the 'new" off. I put a new set on my bike this spring and they were pretty squirrely for about the first 30 miles. Have fun!!

Commander II's are $300 before install. Where do you shop?

It helps to scuff the tire tread with a green scrubby before you mount them on the bike.

That was my intent, but I haven't learned how to do the oil change yet and I leave for my road trip in the morning. I'm trying though, gimmie a break

And he keeps the tires in stock. That was his price.
