Buy newer or not?

Buy newer or not?
So I have a 2007 Electraglide standard that is paid for.
It looks like a streetglide now with the exception of the rear end not having the filler and light. It has not fillers and just the chrome extended light from harley.
I put on matching lowers with speakers and upgraded the seat and put in white gauges and new matching front SG fender, and V & H 4" slash exhaust.
I have deciding to upgrade the motor to a 107, but not sure if I should buy newer or upgrade what I have here and there.
Not sure what to do.

Like almost everything else in life it comes down to cash, if you can part with it buy a newer one, if you can't or just don't want to spend that much fix up what you have..

Unless you're going to a 14, *I* wouldn't get a newer bike. It's paid off. A nice new S&S engine would be way better than a few years newer model especially if you have to have a note on it to get it.

The new touring frame is better. The 2014's with the Rushmore is even better. Can you really put a price on the new, one finger, saddlebag latch system?
However, you have a perfectly good 96 with 6 speed tranny. You have it decked out they way you want it. It's paid for. If you take care of it, it will run well over 100,00 miles.

FWIW, it seems that many times in this forum the statement was made that virtually any upgrade you make to your bike will not increase its value - which translates (at least to me) any upgrade is to please you.
Ask yourself which will give you the most enjoyment......my two cents.

Simple...keep it and do the 107. After all, you own the thing (zero payments = easy to keep) and the cash it'll take to buy newer will certainly cover the 107 upgrade.
