I bolt in rear tire
While out riding today I ran over a ¼ inch x 1 inch I-bolt. It buried it to the ring in my back tire and made the bike jump every time it came around I stopped and pulled it out and road home the tire never went flat I’m wondering if I should worry about it It’s a tube tire I have spoke rims

Over a year ago, I ran over a 4" long nail that entered in the tread area and came out the side wall. I started hearing a ticking sound as I was riding and thought there was something gone wrong in the primary. Didn't know there was a nail in the tire hitting the swingarm on every revolution. I was 20 miles from home and babied it home and discovered the nail in it the next day, and it never went down. But the following morning it was at the dealership getting a new tire put on. I wouldn't risk it if I were you. I too had tubes and spoke wheels at the time.

when my bike had about 1500 miles I found a 6d finish nail that went in thru the tread and came out the sidewall. There was only about a inch between where it entered and exited and it run pretty shallow. The tire held air after removing it and I ran it for another 6000 miles.
1/4 x 1" is pretty big, if it was me Id replace it

I would get at least a new tube. Tires & brakes you don't wanna cheap out on.
Take the OL out for 1 or 2 less dinners to make up the cost.

Even *I'M* going with the new tire option on this one. That is a big bolt to run through your tire. Usually I plug tires but i don't have tubes. You could have it inspected and patched from inside if the tire's fairly new but it depends on where it went through the tire.
