Discount on 2014 Models
So I'm looking to get a new bike and was hoping to get a steal on a 2014 since the 15's are out any day now. I was quoted $22K for a 2014 Street Glide which is 1K off MSRP. I was hoping the discounts would be a little more than that.
Does that sound about right or should I try other dealers?
With only 1K off, I might wait and buy a 2015.

That doesn't sound too good to me. I bought a new '14 RK last week. I was interested in three different bikes. Depending on the bike model, down payment and term they showed me rates from .99 to 4.99 percent.

Eaglemark. The .99% was on a Heritage that I kind of considered. I don't recall the particulars but the finance guy had a flier with Eaglemark promotions.

You can only expect deals rather than steals--especially on a Street Glide. No doubt you can find some deals at this time, but you need to be realistic about what those deals are. Expecting something like, "25% off all remaining 2014 models -- everything must go !" type of deal, that isn't going to happen. At least not at a Harley dealer and especially on their most popular bike--Street Glide. The bikes are just too popular and in demand for anyone to offer serious blowout type deals of that kind, even when trying to unload remaining inventory. From what I have seen and based on junk mail I get, most everyone this time of year offers incentives in the form of interest rate deals, no down payments, and/or offering $1,000 credits for accessories and stuff like that. If you still won't bite, they might then waive the setup and transport fees if you go in and haggle.
