My waiting period consisted of finding a helmet that fit and finding a pair of gloves that fit (didn't want to run home and get them).

Wife convinced me to go look at the bikes at the dealer, so she took the car home.

I'm not understanding why there's a waiting period between bike purchase and when you can pick it up. Why do they make you wait?

Default Have you beat

Bought my Lowrider middle of July. Turned out, they wouldn't let me have it because of the recall on the ignition switch housing. TWO WEEKS later I was finally able to pick it up. Thought it wouldn't bother me (I didn't last 24 hours).

I know the feeling and hate it. My first bike I bought new was a 2003 100th ann 883 and I took it home same day. Now on my second bike and had to wait several days on the bank and near killed me. I paid the loan off in full 2 weeks later so It don't hurt so bad thinking about it anymore lol

Back in '05 when I was looking to trade in my FatBoy for an Ultra, the dealers had NO baggers at all on the floor. I went to the 4 local dealers, put my name in, and the first one to get in a bagger got my business. Fast forward to '14 and I originally went into the dealer for a part for my '05 and drove home on my '14!

Not sure what you're waiting for but good luck and enjoy.
