Which end is coming loose?
The part on the inner area that has a 90* bent tab breaking?
Or the part on the outer end of the spring with the turnback that hooks around the stud?

Buy better quality gears & springs , not kidding. The usual cheap import crap gives out way too fast as your finding out the hard way the springs are total junk son't fit right and bind up, the bushing is made out of peanut butter and ratchet teeth won't last 3 seasons if you use it regular.
