reasonable & good one way bike shipping co?
Looking for a one way shipping co that is reasonably priced, insured and doesn't take 28 days to deliver. This is for a bike that might be purchased multiple states away (20 hrs). Any thoughts or good experiences would be appreciated.

I used Quik Shots motorcycle transport about 3 years ago to get my bike from NC to MO.It took about two weeks. He is out of Oklahoma, and I believe he makes an east run and a west run. So depends on the timing on how long it will take. He uses a real nice enclosed trailer a did a good job.He Inspected the bike at pickup and then goes over it with you when dropping it off. It was 500 bucks then..

I had my '76 T160 shipped from Texas to Mn, using Forward Air. The seller took it to his airport, it was tied down in an totally enclosed steel box, and arrived in Mpls the same day, where I picked it up. Cost less than $500, but that was several years ago. The seller installed two padlocks, and sent me the combination via email.

For the cost of a plane ticket, I'll ride it one way and deliver it.

Denver to Boston 8 days transit shipping
I just shipped my FLHXS from Denver to Boston through an HD affiliate. Specialized Transportation.

Dropped it off and helped tie it down in a Denver warehouse, 8 days later picked it up in a warehouse near Boston. Warehouse to warehouse saved $65 instead of door to door. Cost $610, which included a $130 fuel surcharge (yikes!). Insured to $15K with no deductible, my insurance would've picked up any difference. Bike showed up in perfect condition and they threw in a complimentary bike cover.
I couldn't have ridden it 2000 miles for $610, unless I went without eating and sleeping.
