Default Dealer tune

scored a thunderheader for cheap off craigslist. Looking to buy a stage 1 a/c. I dont plan on doing much more than that as far as a/c exhaust or motorwork. Was wondering if having the dealer re map would work. or do i need to buy a powercommander or some other tuner on my own. bike is a 09 fxd

I assume you are talking about the basic stage one flash. If so don't waste your money it is dog ****. If you wanna go cheap pick up some used xied's, if you want more control then look into a power commander or flask tuner. Tons of options out there it can be a little intimidating.

The Dobeck DFI/TFO tuners are inexpensive and simple to use, perfect for what you are going to do.

If your not going to do anything other than intake and exhaust, you could give the fuelpak a try. I have a fuelpak and xieds and my bike runs great with plenty of power.
