I was wondering what was the standard warranty, when I bought the bike in April, a 2012 switchback, they told me it only had a few days left on it. But they would sell me the extended one. UMhuh, Can I just call the dealer and they would tell me?

 

When you picked up the telephone and called the dealer, what did they tell you?

The answer is two years. That is why a 2012 model had "a few days left on it."

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. I do not think you can buy the extended warranty after your factory warranty expires. May be a grace period but it's not long. They offer them on used bikes they sell. But buying afterwards opens up the door for fraud.
