A friend is having his black one painted Morroccan Gold for $350 by his car bodyshop dude. He had to supply the paint (don't know how much he needed and how much it costs but HD parts dept can tell you that).

cost usually depends on the quality of the finish you desire, and the condition of the piece before being painted.
To get Harley quality, you usually need to pay Harley prices.
Someone, experienced in painting Harley parts will be a little less.
Someone, inexperienced in painting Harley parts will be a little less than that.
A friend with a paint gun will be even less.
You can get a aftermarket spray can supplier to mix up a rattle can of primer, base color and clear coat, any you can have at it yourself.
Labor prices usually vary with geographical location. Cheaper in the South and Mexico, more in the urban areas.
