Default Zumo 660 Inner Faring Cradle

I purchased a Zumo 660 from a fellow rider. He did not remove the cradle from the bike when trading for a 2014 Limited. I am needing to purchase a new inner faring cradle. The Harley cradle P/N 92174-09 sells for $81.00 Garmin has what looks like the same cradle for 59.99. My concern is are they the same? Any thoughts or experiences.

Mine is the Zumo 665 , not the Roadtech version and my cradle looks the same. Maybe you should call Garmin customer service to be sure.

Thanks for the feedback. I should mention my Zumo is the Roadtech version from HD.

I have the Zumo Roadtech 660 with the fairing cradle, dealer installed. I tried to look at the Garmin site for the cradle you referred to, couldn't find it. For me, for the extra few bucks I'd pop for the Harley cradle so you're sure it will work as you expect. But, it's your money, not mine.

Good luck. You'll love it when it's installed and working.

I have the 660 installed on the cradle that came with it and dont care for it's far left location much. I recommend, you look at/for another cradle that mounts in the center right above the gauges. But that would not allow you to have the storage pouches. Check out Handle bar mounts as well. Seem a few pics of guys that done that center mount, which i like, on the forum but cant help you with detailed info. Just search and see for yourself. Also Keep in mind that if you ever wanted to get Apes, even short ones, the GPS could be in the way in it's default location
Oh my....you're talking about the cradle and me about the mount.....where are my pills???

I have a extra cradle, i think.....gonna go look.

Got it, still in the box. You can have it if you pay shipping. No clue what it costs from Canada to you

Thank you Pastime and Pete. Based on past post on the forum I am leaning towards the HD cradle due to possible issues with NIB.

Pete, I currently have 14" Apes on my Ultra Limited. Thanks for the advise on where to locate the cradle.

Both the HD Branded 660 cradle and the Garmin Zumo 660 cradle are the exact same animal. Only difference is the price you pay.

I first bought the Zumo 660 close to 4 years ago. This year I bought another bike and put the 660 Roadtech on it. The units are interchangeable so the cabling is the same (I presume).

Cool

Pete I sent you a PM.

Thank you for the input. Another example of the value of having the forum.

I have the HD fairing mount cradle on my street glide with the 660 and I couldn't be happier with it. Just buy it, you wont regret it.
