Default road king test ride

So ive been thinking about a 14 road king since they came out.
And lately forum member From Behind and another guy have purchased new kings and that got me really wanting one.
I went on the Harley site and found a dealer that has the blue/black in stock.
I did the online credit and was approved immediately.
So I rode over yesterday, about an 80 mile ride and talk with the sales manager, throw some numbers around and take a test ride, Man that thing is smooth!
Come back and tell him we are not where I want to be so he works it again and im still not there.
Talk with the owner and he makes a small adjustment and I tell him that we are a couple grand from where I want to be on the deal, he tells me that that cant happen, and I understand that, but if that bike was to sit there a while I know theres more wiggle room.
I really want the bike but found out we have some stuff coming up that I may need to wait a few months.
Im trying to decide if I want to go ahead and do this or wait a few months and just get a 15.

I test rode a 14 RK a couple months ago, found the same thing. Beautiful bike, loved it. Dealers won't budge. they want full price and nothing for your trade. I passed.

This dealer offered me $1500 less for my bike then a dealer did a few months ago, if he would offer the amount I was offered by the other dealer I would have rode the bike home!

Just do the deal. You know that you'll eat up that 1500 in mods anyway....

Same here, been wanting a RK for awhile. I stopped at one of the area dealers yesterday just to look. They have no '15 RK's and they only have one '14. It's the **** brown custom color. Salesman said it had the ABS brakes. $21,800 OTD. I would maybe bite at $20K OTD with extended warranty and a back rest. The only color that I like is the black. A grand extra for factory paint is a little steep if you ask me. Another thing is it depreciates more than a '15 when you sign the dotted line and ride off the lot. I like the '14 police bike as it's cheaper and has the cruise control now. When I get serious I will do some price shopping. Maybe around the first of the year at the end of the month dealers may be more willing to deal.

wait until 12/31 to buy. At least at my local dealership, they move out bikes for any kind of profit just so they don't have to pay taxes on it

THINK some more! A bike is a luxury, not a necessity! Why not just wait until you can afford it?
