Default anyway to repair chips in chrome?

Is there anyway to repair chips in chrome? My new used Hiway pegs came in today. One of them has 2 chips in the chrome. Its thru the plating and down to the metal. I'm afraid it will start peeling and all the chrome will peel off it. Anyone ever figure a way to repair this? Thanks, Rick

new used - contradictory Just kidding. I know you meant new to you.

In some cases, minor scratches in chrome can be polished out but the only way to repair chips is to rechrome the parts.

Rechroming a couple of highway pegs and brackets would be inexpensive. Here are some links to chromers:

Thanks for the links, look at what I'm dealing with, bought this set of big shots staggered for only $50 on Craigslist, I'm waiting on quotes from each company but I'm beginning to think it will be easier, and sadly, cheaper to order new heat shields

There's nothing you can do other than re-chrome it. Let me know if you need our help!

For a Temp fix: Chrome touchup paint and a clear coat or clear fingernail polish should seal the chip.
