Default Service manual compatibility

I have an '03 RK. Found a guy selling some parts off of an '07 that I'm looking at. One of the things he's selling is a service manual. Are the 03 and 07 manuals compatible enough that it's worth getting? I mean, how much different can they be besides one being an 88" the other a 96"?

It could make a big difference. They some times update torque values, belt tension requirements, or part changes from year to year.

2009 was the big year for touring model changes. The two years you're talking about should be close enough to use as a pretty good guide. Depending on the price it's being sold for though.

Engine and trans are different 03 to 07. The manual is worthless to you.

That's not completely true, there is still plenty of value if the price is right. Like $10 or less.

Not to mention the frame, & assorted other components.

Ok, thanks guys. He's asking $40 for it and he has a couple seats I'm going to look at. Was gonna offer him a lump sum for a seat and the manual but if it's that different then I won't bother.

For $20 more ($60), you can get a brand new one for your year.

No way would I pay over $10 for and manual where most of it isn't relevant to your particular year.

It looks like I was mostly wrong. My bad guys. $10 would still be worth buying it.

Excellent advice here.
