Default Intake Manifold Bolts - HELP!

Any hints on how to loosen the inside manifold bolts (behind the horn) without having to pull the fuel tank?

I'm working on a 2002 FXD (not that that should make much difference) that requires the enricher (choke) on all the time. Most likely cause is an air leak in the intake so the objective is to replace the gaskets and rebuild the carb.

I didn't have much trouble getting the carb out and loosening the manifold bolts on the carb side but am having a devil of a time loosening the bolts on the opposite side.

I took an Allen wrench and bent it but still can't seem to get into the Allen heads properly or getting them to break free.

HELP!

Thanks for the tip!

From everything I have been reading, it might be best to take the tank off anyway so I can get everything aligned properly before tightening everything down.

Try a garbage disposal wrench also. Has a different angle to it. Then pick up a set of these and you won't have difficulty again:

You can probably find them at a good hardware store also. YD
